Being the new flagship of Prestige Yachts, the new X70 follows the trend and demand for an X-yacht, a crossover yacht, a yacht enhancing onboard space, and maximizing volume. Even though the hull shares the same hull with the Prestige 680, the level of finishes inside is incomparable setting the Prestige X70 apart from everything launched so far from the shipyard.
Maximizing space - became a very common term in the yachting industry. The Prestige X70 luxury motor yacht had the same brief when penning the first drawings which have been realized by moving side decks to the flybridge. The result is making maximum use of the yacht's width. Secondly, there is very often the aim of creating unique living spaces seamlessly connecting the aft with the salon space inside. With most of the yachts this size sharing 80% in favor of the salon, versus 20% for the aft cockpit, charter yacht Prestige X70 shares it almost equally 50-50 and calling it an infinity cockpit. Lots of seating, versatile options for lounging and sunbathing, tables convertible into dining or cocktail mode, -all is on offer. Wide salon doors with a flat floor from outside to inside create this unique living area allowing guests to live throughout the main deck. Press a button for the night mode and the smart TV will fold down from the ceiling with electrically closing blinds for the home theatre feeling with surround sound.
Other exceptional design approaches comprise the galley located centrally between the helm and the salon rather than between the aft cockpit and salon usually found on equally-sized yachts. Furthermore, the master cabin is located forward on the lower deck and not amidships. Maybe not ideal at the first look, but Prestige Yachts has been able to go for a separate stairway down to the master cabin bringing the privacy to a whole new level on a 22m yacht. The VIP cabin with a large ensuite bathroom is located amidships together with two convertible twins sharing a bathroom.
The foredeck sunbathing area is practically not existing in favor of the helm views, as well as the headroom, and volume below deck. Probably the bow sunbathing area is not needed given the livable alternative outdoor living spaces ranging from the generous flybridge and the rest of the main deck. The hydraulic electric bathing platform comes as a standard and the crew will have a separate crew cabin in the transom fitted for our charter yacht Prestige X70 cruising the Mediterranean. Power will come from two Volvo IPS 1200 engines with each 900hp, or twin IPS 1350 engines pushing forward with 1000hp for a top speed of 26 knots respectively 20 knots of cruising speed.
Motor yacht Prestige X70 is definitely the shipyard's most radical new design so far. Different, innovative, extraordinary, and even sharing a bit of the Prestige 680 platform, the new Prestige X-line represents a totally new series of luxury motor yachts for the French manufacturer. One that is implementing superyacht features in small. One that will surely appeal to new yacht owners.
