After you have made your decision being in touch with our Ocean Charter managers, you will receive a standardized charter contract varying on one hand on the type of vessel you wish to charter, and on the other hand on the charter location. For example, a crewed luxury charter yacht in the Caribbean has a different standard contract compared to a bareboat yacht charter contract in Croatia or Greece. Obligations of the Charteree and the crew are understandably more far-reaching than for a sailing yacht charter on bareboat basis without crew.
For luxury charter yachts a standard MYBA contract latest version is used to define obligations and commitments between Charterer and Charteree countersigned by the owner of a super yacht, whereby for yachts under 20m usually a standardized contract of the according yacht brokers association of the charter destination country is used.
Once the contract is duly signed a charter is confirmed only after an advance payment of 50% of the charterin favor of Charteree’s account. The second installment is due 4 weeks before charter commencement.
For crewed luxury yacht charter a list is sent to the Charterer in order to inform the crew about your food and beverages preferences. The aim is to find out about your likes and dislikes as well as to tailor some guideline itineraries in advance paying attention to personal interest.
