Silent Yachts goes 24m tri-deck with its new SILENT 80 | with video

Austrian shipyard Silent Yachts announced the build of their 24m SILENT 80 tri-deck flagship available with a skylounge on the upper deck or a flybridge. Penned by Marco Casali of Too Design responsible for exteriors and interiors the SILENT 80 solar-powered catamaran scores with a clean and contemporary look and generous use of glazing. The open version comes with a 90 square meters flybridge deck equipped with bar and galley, alfresco dining table and lots of seating and lounging options. The closed version scores with an air-conditioned salon ideal to socialize and relax but also maximizing the period of usage in one season. This third upper deck can also be designed as an owner's deck with a 360-degree round view suite and private terrace.

Several layouts are available providing accommodation for up to 10 guests sleeping in 5 cabins, whilst the first unit currently in the build is going to feature a 4-cabin layout with two large owner's cabins.

The propulsion for the SILENT 80 tri-deck luxury catamaran is provided by e-power or a hybrid setup with twin 220hp diesel engines and 2x14kW electric motors. Even a kite can be installed at a fraction of costs applying for a sail setup, less storage and without the typical maintenance classic sail setups require. Traveling in eco-mode and 6-7 knots cruising speed in silence the range is beyond 100 nautical miles per day.

Benefitting from additional space freed up thanks to the missing engine room there is space for a 4.5m tender, a gyrocopter on floats and even a small amphibious car. The options are unlimited, as well as the range of the solar-powered SILENT 80 luxury catamarans.
