Royal Huisman launches SEA EAGLE II luxury sailing yacht

Dutch Royal Huisman shipyard announced the lunch of the world's largest aluminium sailing yacht ever built: SEA EAGLE II. Measuring remarkable 81m respectively 266ft length overall, Royal Huisman SEA EAGLE II previously known as project 400 has been designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley.

SEA EAGLE II features accommodation for a total of 11 guests across 6 staterooms and has a crew compartment for 14 persons. The interior décor is to be 'tastefully low-key' with accents of sustainable materials such as oak and Alpi walnut. Other features include a large sundeck with full flybridge controls, a sheltered cockpit on the deck below, a bar, sofas and a large alfresco dining area.

The rudder built for SEA EAGLE measures 4m and represents the largest ever built rudder out of carbon composite. The stepping of the three Panamax carbon masts by Rondal is scheduled for next week ahead of sea trials and crew training.
