Heesen superyacht shipyard revealed their latest 50m project with luxury motor yacht MAIA in build. Built of steel this full-displacement yacht will be below the 500 GT treshold will feature naval architecture and engineering by Heesen. For the design Clifford Den has been appointed to draw the elegant exterior lines and Reymond Langton to create interiors.
With a bulbous bow and an easily driven hull form optimized to glide through the water with fuel-efficiency in mind, Heesen motor yacht MAIA has been designed with the latest developments in cutting edge naval architecture. The layout will be set up for 10 guests sleeping in 5 spacious staterooms comprising the master suite on the main deck and the 4 guest cabins on the lower deck. Some of her main features is the transom reserved for the beach club in superyacht manner complete with bar and sauna. In favor of the beach club the tenders will be located on the foredeck from where they can be easily launched.
Powered by a pair of MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines Heesen M/Y MAIA will reach a top speed of 15 knots cruising 12 knots to ensure a transatlantic range of 3.800 nautical miles. Heesen's project MAIA is scheduled for delivery in 2018.
